Bulldogs Lose 5-3 to Oshawa

HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs began a 4-game homestand Friday with a 5-3 loss to the Oshawa Generals.
The Bulldogs got off to a good start and had a 2-0 lead early in the 2nd period as Brandon Saigeon (8, 9), playing in 250th career OHL game, scored shorthanded in the final minute of period 1 and at full strength early in the 2nd. However, the Generals scored three in a row and had a 3-2 lead after forty minutes.
Avery Hayes (2) got the Black and Gold even at 3-3 just after the 5-minute mark of the 3rd finishing off a three-way passing play, but Oshawa scored two goals late to pull away for the 5-3 win.
Hamilton falls to 7-6-1-0 after a third straight loss while the Generals improve to 7-4-1.
