Bulldogs Caged By Americans In 4-1 Loss

Rochester, NY - The Hamilton Bulldogs were defeated by the Rochester Americans 4-1 at Blue Cross Arena. The win extended the Amerks winning streak to 11 games while the 'Dogs dropped only their second game in regulation.
Rochester opened the scoring at 17:38 of the first period. Jordan Henry collected the puck before firing a shot that bounced off Hamilton starting goaltender Cedrick Desjardins' glove and into the back of the net.
The Amerks took a 2-0 lead at 6:15 of the second stanza while on the power play. Mike York received a pass from Jason Garrison before feeding the puck to Jamie Johnson, who was positioned in the slot. Johnson one-timed a shot past Desjardins and into the net. Graham Mink gave Rochester a 3-0 lead at 9:09. Evgeny Dadonov fed a pass to Mink, who slid the puck past a sprawled Desjardins.
Mike Glumac recorded his first goal of the season at 3:22 of the final frame while on the power play. Playing in his first game of the season, David Desharnais sent a pass to Glumac, who one-timed the puck past Rochester starting goaltender Alexander Salak.
The Americans scored their fourth goal of the game at 8:40 of the third period. Henry blasted a shot that was redirected by Chris Taylor. The tipped shot sailed past Desjardins and into the net.
