Moose Release Beauchemin From PTO

The Manitoba Moose announced today they have released goaltender Rejean Beauchemin from his professional tryout contract.

Beauchemin, 24, appeared in one game with the Moose since signing his PTO on Oct. 28/09. In his time with the AHL club, he amassed a 0-1-0 record, 4.00 goals against average, and 0.846 save percentage. He has appeared in three games so far this season with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads and has compiled a record of 3-0-0 with a goals against average of 1.67 and a save percentage of 0.940. He sits sixth overall on the ECHL goaltending leader board already this season.

Beauchemin was originally drafted by Philadelphia in the sixth round, 191st overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
