HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-2 home-ice win over the Oshawa Generals Saturday night.
The Bulldogs Zachary Jackson (1) made it 1-0 at 5:02. Riley McCourt (1) scored on the power-play at 17:38 to make it 2-0 for the Black and Gold. Just :38 seconds later, Hamilton upped the lead to 3-0 as Justin Lemcke (3) blasted one home from the point.
The Generals got a quick start to the 2nd period scoring a short-handed goal at :09 and then again at 2:11 to cut the Hamilton lead to 3-2. The Bulldogs got the momentum back late in the period as Ben Garagan (1) got his first as a Bulldog to make it 4-2 after two periods.
The Bulldogs shut it down in the 3rd period and despite the Generals hitting two goal posts, they had few other good chances as the final twenty minutes went scoreless.
