The Shreveport Mudbugs (32-11-2) scored early and often and got goals from up and down their squad to blowout the Corpus Christi IceRays, 10-1 which was their ninth straight victory at George's Pond in Hirsch Coliseum Friday night.

SHV got off to a hot start when Maksim Sushchynski sliced in his first tally of the year from the RW circle to give the Bugs an early 1-0 edge at 1:07 of the opening period. Brent Litchard and Brayden Cook earned the helpers on the game's first goal. Just 40 seconds later at 1:47 it was Brayden Cook redirecting home his 13th goal of the year off an odd-man rush to make it 2-0. Jonah Jasser picked up the only assist. SHV added to their lead at 10:27 as Kyan Haldenby got a puck down low and yanked in his 18th goal from the far side to extend the advantage to 3-0. Nick Marino and Carter McKay picked up the helpers. Shreveport would put the icing on the cake at 14:23 on the PP as Ryan Burke got time and space from the RW circle and rammed in his 18th tally as well which also extended his point scoring streak to 10 games and moving the lead up to 4-0. Logan Heroux and Hayden Nichol earned the helpers.

SHV poured it on in the second period when Burke banged in his second goal of the night at 4:34 of the second period to make it 5-0. Cook added to the scoring party as he squeezed in a shot from the high slot which snuck through for his second tally of the night making it 6-0 at 10:17. The home team led in SOG, 24-16 after two.

Cook tipped home his third goal of the night for his second hat trick in as many games at 1:02 of the third period to make it a 7-0. SHV made it 8-0 on a blistering blast from Hayden Nichol from the LW circle to give the Bugs an 8-0 edge at 5:21. After Corpus got on the board at 11:06, it was the Buffalo native Colin Vassallo ripping in his 11th tally at 11:53 making it a 9-1 contest. The Bugs wouldn't stop there as Vassallo yanked in his second goal of the night at 19:12 increasing the lead

to 10-1.

Eliot Seguin-Lescarbeau made 22 stops to earn his 21st win between the pipes and help the Bugs capture their ninth straight win.
