Montreal, Canada. The ABA Montreal Matrix fell short to the Buffalo Rapids 98-95 in exciting ABA action over the weekend. The Matrix hit 29% from the three point line but it was not enough to offset a remarkable 52% performance from behind the arc by the resurging Rapids. Buffalo's Brad Buddenborg led the way with 38 points, 24 of which came from three point range.
Matrix high scorer San Ibrahim finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds in front of another large and very excited Montreal crowd. "We got to maintain the flow of the offense, be more disciplined and make our foul shots," said coach Ed Jone. "But we got to come back and be ready to play tomorrow." The Matrix next game at the Pierre-Charbonneau Center against the Boston Frenzy will start at 4pm. For more information, visit www.montrealmatrix.com or www.abalive.com.
