Nighthawks win squeaker against Express

Newark, NJ. The ABA Maryland Nighthawks continued their winning ways in Newark, NJ with a tough win over the talented Newark Express team coached by NBA legend Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins. Eric Branhams' coast to coast layup with seconds left in the game sealed the win 96-95. Guard Randy Gill had a strong game finishing with 29 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals.

Forward Ray Cunningham continued his outstanding play pulling down 18 rebounds and adding 14 points while shooting near 60%. The Nighthawks return to the court on Saturday, Jan 7 at 7pm on their home court to take on division rival Rochester RazorSharks. The Nighthawks then play again on Sunday, Jan 8 when they their cross-state rivals, the Baltimore Pearls. Gametime will be 6pm. And both contests should be tough one.
