
Bucs Acquire Defenseman Lovell and Draft Pick in Trade with Steel

DES MOINES, IA - Des Moines has acquired Defenseman Timothy Lovell (2002) and a 2020 Phase I 6th Round Draft Pick from the Chicago Steel in exchange for a 2020 Phase I 3rd Round Draft Pick and a 2020 Phase II 6th Round Draft Pick.
"Timothy is a special player. His ability to make high level plays from the back-end with excellent mobility is at the top of his draft class," GM Tom Mannino said. "Timothy's dedication and commitment to the game are second to none. He's the type of player that will spend extra time at the arena perfecting his craft. We welcome Timothy to the Buccaneers' family and look forward to his impact and development under our coaching staff."
The Boston College commit is currently listed on NHL Central Scouting's Players to Watch list for the 2020 NHL Draft in Montreal, QC. The Hingham, MA native is a product of the Boston Advantage AAA hockey program and a student of the family-run Lovell Hockey Schools, which is responsible for developing numerous NCAA DI and Current NHL players such as 5th overall NHL Draft Pick Noah Hanifin, Hobey Baker Winner Adam Gaudette, Kevin Hayes, Chris Wagner, and Ryan Donato.
Des Moines has a quick return from the holiday tonight at home vs. Waterloo. The Bucs will be wearing specialty black uniforms for "Black Friday". The jerseys will be up for auction after the game tonight!
