March 1, 2004 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo Bucks are teaming up the American Red Cross to help raise money for the Disaster Relief Fund. The Red Cross and those affiliated with the Red Cross will be selling tickets to the March 13th game against the Austin Ice Bats at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
There are two places to purchase tickets. Call (956) 523-7752 and talk with a Bucks representative or people can visit Wright-GMAC Realtors at 6423 McPherson . Tickets are available at three price levels; $24, $20, and $13. A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales thru these two outlets will be donated directly to the Red Cross.
"We were looking for a non profit organization that the Bucks could do something with," said Bucks account executive Keith Reynolds. "The American Red Cross was extremely excited to work with the Bucks. They realized it was a chance to help further their goals here in Webb County in terms of disaster relief and first aid and CPR education. They have been doing things all year with the Bucks and the next step was a night like this."
Amigo Broadcasting will participate with a live remote from Bennigan's Grill and Tavern on Wednesday, March 10th from 3-8 p.m. The Bucks players and the Lady Bucks dance team will be present and fans can have their picture taken with them for a donation that goes to the Red Cross. The Red Cross will also be selling tickets for the March 13th game at the live remote at Bennigan's.
The Bucks will be at home on March 12th and 13th and a silent auction for one-of-a-kind items will take place during both games to conclude on the 13th. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Red Cross.
The American Red Cross, Webb County Chapter is celebrating "Red Cross Month" in March.
