
Bucks sign Jared Reiner for remainder of season

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed center Jared Reiner (6-11, 255) to a contract for the remainder of the season, General Manager Larry Harris announced today. Reiner was signed to his initial 10-day contract on February 8, and his second 10-day contract on February 18.
In seven games for Milwaukee, Reiner has averaged 1.7 rebounds in 7.0 minutes per contest. At Indiana on February 21, Reiner tallied a career-high two assists with five rebounds, two points and one steal in 23 minutes of action.
Before joining the Bucks, Reiner appeared and started in 28 games for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League this season, averaging 13.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 31.9 minutes per game. He ranks T-7th in the D-League in rebounds per game.
Not drafted out of Iowa, the 24-year-old appeared in 19 games with the Chicago Bulls during the 2004-05 season, where he averaged 1.1 points and 2.0 rebounds in 6.9 minutes per game. He was signed by Phoenix prior to the 2005-06 campaign and waived on January 5, 2006, without appearing in a game. Reiner was signed by the San Antonio Spurs in October of 2006 and appeared in three preseason games prior to being waived.
The Bucks roster remains at 15 players.
