Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Wednesday that they have signed defenseman David Inman. Inman is expected to be in the lineup Thursday when the Bucks host Odessa at Laredo Energy Arena in their annual McDonald's kid's day game. The Bucks also made several other roster moves Thursday including assigning defenseman Chris Pontes to Knoxville (SPHL).
The 23-year-old Inman split time earlier this season with the Elmira Jackals (ECHL) and the New York Aviators (FHL) before being signed by the Bucks.
"We needed a good, solid defenseman to come in and make an impact and David is the guy we wanted," said Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "He has good credentials and should help us out a lot."
Inman, a native of San Diego, California, played six games for Elmira with one assist and spent 25 games with New York and put up 13 points (5-813).
The 6'0'', 211 pound Inman played four years of college hockey for Yale University (NCAA D-1) from 2005-2009. With Yale Inman played in 58 games and had five points (1-45).
Prior to his college hockey career Inman played two seasons for the U.S National Under-18 team.
PONTES ASSIGNED TO KNOXVILLE
Pontes had five points (2-35) in 27 games for the Bucks after being called up from Knoxville on December 3rd.
BUCKS MAKE IR MOVES
The Bucks activated Justin Styffe and Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel from the 10-day IR Wednesday, placed Adam Rivet and Joe Scali on the 10-day IR and moved Chris Korchinski to season-ending IR.
Styffe missed the last 10 games with a lower-body injury and has put up 10 points (8-210) in 16 games this season. Dieude-Fauvel also missed the last 10-games with an upper body injury and has 13 points (4-913) in 34 games this season.
Rivet suffered an upper-body injury in the Bucks 4-3 loss in Arizona on Friday while Scali suffered a lower-body injury in that same game.
Korchinski suffered a lower-body injury in November and played in only nine games for the Bucks this season registering six points (3-36).
