Bucks Look To Solve Ice Rays Tonight

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League look for their third straight home win tonight when they host the Corpus Christi Ice Rays at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Game time is 7:30pm. The first 2,500 fans to enter the arena will receive a FREE Whataburger coupon. Group tickets start at just $10, call 718-BUCK (2825) to order. The tailgating competition starts at 4pm Saturday with the "Best BBQ Chicken Cook Off". The winner of the competition will receive a prize from the Bucks.

The Bucks improved to 3-1-1 in 2010 with Friday night's 6-2 win at Rio Grande Valley. With the game tied at 2-2 in the second period the Bucks scored four straight goals to snap their five-game road losing streak. Darryl Smith had three points (2-13) and Kevin Desfosses stopped 38 of 40 shots in his Bucks debut.
Laredo enters tonight on four-game winless streak against the Ice Rays (0-3-1), the longest streak in team history. Laredo's last win over Corpus came back on December 17 in a 2-0 shutoout win at the American Bank Center.
The Bucks enter tonight having won two straight games at the LEC. The Bucks have not won three straight home games since November 27th-December 8th when they won four in a row.
After tonight's game the Bucks have a three-game road trip that will see them play twice in Colorado (Jan. 20th and 22nd) and once in Rapied City (Jan 23rd).
Corpus fell at home to Odessa 4-3 Friday night.
**PINK IN THE RINK JAN. 29**
The Bucks will host their second annual "Pink in the Rink" game on Friday January 29th at the LEC. If the game is sold out the Bucks will donate $10,000 to WINGS. WINGS (Women Involved in Nurturing, Giving and Sharing) helps uninsured or underinsured women of Laredo receive treatment for breast cancer.

The 2010 Central Hockey League All Star online jersey auction will start Saturday (Jan. 16th) on ebay.
All jerseys (South Texas and CHL) can be found in the following categories: sports memorabelia, cards and fan shop, fan apparel and souvenirs, and hockey-minors.
The auction will run from Saturday January 16th until Tuesday January 26th at www.ebay.com. The minimum auction bid is $200.
