LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League host the Corpus Christi Ice Rays tonight at the Laredo Entertainment Center on Faith and Family and Boy Scout night. Game time is 7:30pm. Local churches, family organizations and Boy Scout groups can receive ticket discounts for the game that night. Call Cy Agley at 956-523-6592. There will be a live peformance at the game from New Method, a top five Christian Band. The "best burger" tailgate competition starts at 4pm outside the LEC.

The Bucks moved into a third-place tie with Texas in the Southern Conference with Friday's 3-1 win over the Brahmas. Todd Griffith had two goals and Kevin Desfosses stopped 37 shots in net to lead Laredo to their second straight win and their fourth in their last six games.
Laredo is looking for their first three-game winning streak since November 6th-15th when they won four in a row.
The Bucks have struggled against the Ice Rays this season and are in the midst of a five-game winless streak against them (0-4-1). Laredo's last win over Corpus was December 17th in a 2-0 win at the American Bank Center, while the Bucks last home win against the Ice Rays came in a 4-3 shootout win on December 8th.
Starting this weekend the Bucks will play three games in three nights during each of the next seven weekends. In all, from January 29th-March 14th the Bucks will play 22 games in 44 days (10 home, 9 away).
The Ice Rays enter tonight on a two-game winless streak and are two points out of a playoff spot in the South. Corpus fell in Allen last night 6-3.
Corpus closes out their three-in-three Sunday at Rio Grande Valley.
The Bucks will finish their three-in-three Sunday in Odessa when they take on the CHL-leading Jackalopes at 4pm.
