
Bucks Have Three-Game Homestand This Week: Fireworks Saturday

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will have a three-game homestand this week, when they host the Rocky Mountain Rage on Wednesday, the Mississippi Riverkings on Friday and the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Tickets for each game start as low as $12.75, call 718-BUCK (2825) to order your tickets today.
On Wednesday night the Bucks will hold their third annual adopt-a-pet night at the LEC. The Laredo Animal Protective Society Shelter will be on hand with several dogs and cats up for adoption.
The Laredo Animal Protective Society Shelter is located at 2500 Gonzalez St. in Laredo. Over the past two seasons, including summer open houses, more than 70 animals have found new homes.
Once again adoption fees will run $70 for dogs (any size, any age any breed), which includes their first 3 booster shots. The same is included with the Adoption of Cats, except the fee is $45. The game will be a marquee match-up of two of the best teams in the league, with Rocky Mountain (59 points) and Laredo (56 points) second and third in the race for the Governor's Cup.
Also on Wednesday night former Buck and current Rage Captain Brent Cullaton will return to the LEC for the first time as an opposing player. Cullaton captained Laredo to the 2004 and 2006 President's Cup Championships. As of Monday Cullaton is second in the CHL in scoring with 66 points (12-54=66).
On Friday night February 1st the Bucks Prize Hunt Raffle continues, with $5,000 in prizes being given away that night. To enter simply pick up the Official Bucks Prize Hunt cards at our sponsor Locations, The LEC Box Office, Deutsch & Deutsch, Woodhouse Day Spa, La Posada Hotel & Suites, and Showcase Lighting.
Once you pick up the card get it stamped at all five sponsor locations and bring it to the LEC and you are entered to win.

Finally on Saturday February 2nd the Bucks host Hal's Landing night, Hal's Landing representatives will be passing out over 1,000, $5 discount coupons good for meals and games. Hal's Landing has been a proud corporate partner of the Laredo Bucks from the day they opened their doors in 2006.
Also on Saturday night there will be a post-game fireworks spectacular outside the LEC, so bring the entire family.
The Bucks lead the Southern Conference with a 27-13-2 record (56 points), five points ahead of the Arizona Sundogs.

*Last Wednesday January 23rd Steve Simoes and Adam Rivet attended the Commander's Reception at the LEC. The two chatted with fans and signed autographs.
*Over the weekend Steve Weidlich, David Walker and Alex Penner, along with the Bucks staff, attended the Annual Jamboozie downtown, with Bucky walking in the parade.
