The Waterloo Bucks (7-17) fell to the Mankato MoonDogs (15-10) by a 9-1 score on Saturday night.
Waterloo picked up their lone run in the ninth on an RBI double by Dawnoven Smith. Trey Leonard had a multi-hit game, going 2-4 with a double, and Alex Gonzales walked twice.
Sam Thoresen provided the Bucks 2.1 innings of hitless relief, allowing 0 runs on 2 walks while striking out 5.
The Bucks and MoonDogs wrap up their series on Sunday at 6:05 p.m.
