February 18, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League enter this week in a familiar spot, on top of the Southern Conference and Southeast Division standings. Laredo hosts Odessa Thursday night at the LEC on Taco Palenque Fiesta Night. The first 2,000 fans to enter the arena will receive Thunder Stix Courtesy of Taco Palenque. Group tickets start at $10, with individual tickets starting at $12.75. Call 718-BUCK (2825) to order your tickets today.
The Bucks need a combination of just four points this week to clinch their fifth straight Southeast Division Championship. If Laredo wins on Thursday against Odessa, and Corpus Christi loses that same night to Bossier-Shreveport , the Bucks will win the division. However if the Bucks and Corpus both win on Thursday, Laredo will have to wait until Friday for their chance to clinch on the Rayz home ice.
The Bucks come into this week with a 33-15-3 record, good enough for 69 points. The 69 points put Laredo eight points up in the Southern Conference over Arizona, and 29 points up on Corpus Christi in the Southeast Division.
