The Bucks out shot Memphis 19-9 in the first period, but neither team could score.

Laredo drew first blood in the second period. With the RiverKings on the power play it was the Bucks who capitalized. Memphis captain Don Parsons turned the puck over in his own end to Bucks forward Jeff Bes who cut to the slot where his wrist shot was stopped, but defenseman Phillippe Lauze was there to stuff in the rebound at 7:37 for his sixth of the season and a 1-0 Bucks lead. It was the Bucks CHL leading 17th shorthanded goal of the season, Laredo then extended their lead to 2-0 as Ladislav Kouba finished off a two-on-one rush with a terrific backhand move at 14:27. It was his 23rd of the season. The RiverKings got back in the game with a shorthanded goal of their own as forward Travis Banga scored on a breakaway at 16:49.

In the third the Bucks padded their lead as a Bes centering pass when off the skates of a RiverKings defenseman for a power play goal at 5:58. It was the 23rd of the year for Bes. FINAL SCORE Laredo 3, Memphis 1.

Dov Grumet-Morris stopped 20 of 21 shots and got the win to improve to 16-5-2. Guy St. Vincent played well, stopping 41 of 44 shots, but took the loss to fall to 11-19-2. The Bucks were 1-7 on the power play while Memphis was 0-8. Laredo out shot the RiverKings 44-21.
