Laredo enters today's game two points ahead of Texas for third place in the Southern Conference with each team having played 60 games. The Bucks can increase their lead on the Brahmas with a win today going into the final week of the regular season.
The Bucks won their second straight game Friday night with a 5-3 victory over Arizona. Curtis Billsten and Maxime Lincourt each had two goals and an assist while Pier Pelletier improved to 8-0-1 in his last nine decisions as he stopped 26 shots.
The Bucks improved to 7-1-2 in their last 10 home games.
Laredo and Texas have split the first six games of the season series with the Bucks and Brahmas holding 3-3 records against each other. The Bucks are 3-1 against the Brahmas in Laredo and are 0-2 at the NYTEX Sports Center.
The winner of today's game will clinch the regular season series against each other.
The Bucks will finish their seventh straight and final three-in-three today. In all, from January 29th-March 14th the Bucks will play 22 games in 44 days (10 home, 9 away). They are 13-7-4 in that span.
Texas fell to Mississippi Friday night 7-3 as they allowed six straight goals. The Brahmas were off Saturday night.

The Bucks will hold the first annual community job fair presented by Staff Connection on Saturday March 20th at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
The job fair is from 12-5pm followed by a tailgate mixer before the Bucks host Wichita in their regular season finale at the LEC. Admission to the job fair is FREE with applicants getting to meet with around 20 companies that day. For more information call 718-BUCK (2825).
