LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, announced their complete schedule for the 2011-2012 season.
The Laredo Bucks will begin their 2011-12 campaign on the road for 2 games on October 21st & 22nd versus the Arizona Sundogs. The Bucks home opener will be on Friday October 28th versus their longtime rival the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.
The season will consist of 66 games, 33 of those games will be played at the Laredo Energy Arena. The complete schedule can be found at www.laredobucks.com .
The Bucks will play 25 of the 33 home games on the weekend consisting of 11 games on Friday night, 11 games on Saturday night and 3 Sunday games. The Sunday games will start at 4pm. The Bucks will play two of the Saturday games during the afternoon at 4pm (Nov. 12th and Jan. 21st).
The Bucks will also host 1 Tuesday game, 6 Wednesday games and 1 Thursday game (the kid's day game) during the season.
The start times at the Laredo Energy Arena will remain the same, with the exception of the two Saturday matinee games. All games Monday thru Wednesday will begin at 7pm, Friday and Saturday games begin at 7:30pm and Sunday games begin at 4pm. The Kid's Day Game on Thursday February 9th will begin at 11am.
The Laredo Bucks will play 54 games versus Berry Conference teams, while playing just 12 games versus the Turner Conference teams.
The breakdown of the Berry Conference games are as follows: Laredo will play Allen 13 times (8 home, 5 away), Arizona 7 times (3 home, 4 away), Rio Grande Valley 17 times (9 home, 8 away), Texas 11 times (6 home, 5 away), Tulsa 4 times (1 home, 3 away) and Wichita 2 times (1 home, 1 away).
The Turner conference schedule breaks down like this: Laredo will play Bloomington once (home), Dayton once (away), Fort Wayne 2 games (both away), Missouri 2 games (both away), Quad City 2 games (both home), and Rapid City 4 games (2 home, 2 away). The Bucks will not see the Evansville Iceman at all during the regular season.
The distance between teams will mean longer home stands for the Bucks. The Bucks will play seven straight games at home starting Friday October 28th thru Saturday November 12th. Another long nine game home stand will begin Saturday November 26th thru Friday December 16th.
The Bucks will experience several long road trips this season as well. One begins Saturday February 11th thru Saturday February 18th, where the Bucks will visit Texas, Wichita and Rapid City. Another trip begins Friday March 16th thru Tuesday March 20th, where they play Fort Wayne, Dayton and Tulsa before coming home. They will also make two separate trips to Arizona and one trip to Missouri.
The Bucks will be playing three games in three nights on seven separate occasions this season, one happening in November, two in January, one in February and three in March.
Laredo will announce their pre-season schedule next week.

If you have not renewed or purchased your 2011-2012 Bucks season tickets, you are encouraged to do so by August 19th. You must reserve your seat by this deadline to keep your seat location and to receive a season ticket booklet for the upcoming season.
