
Bucks Announce Another Pitcher

Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Reed Reilly to their roster for the 2012 season. Reilly, a freshman at Cal Poly, is the 23rd player to be named to Waterloo's roster for the team's 18th season.
This season, the 6'4", 215-pounder has appeared in 16 games for the Mustangs, striking out 30 in 33.2 innings pitched. Reilly owns a 3.21 ERA and a 2-1 record while holding batters to a .281 average.
"I am very excited to play for the Waterloo Bucks this summer," said Reilly. "I have heard great things of the team, fans, and stadium. I can't wait for summer to begin and start a memorable season with the Bucks."
Last year, the Dana Point, California native redshirted for Cal Poly and played for the Kitsap BlueJackets of the West Coast League. Reilly finished with a 1-2 record and a 1.75 ERA in 36 innings, striking out 31 along the way. For his efforts, the righty was named as one of the top performers in 2011 summer-collegiate baseball by CollegeSummerBaseball.net.
Born January 5, 1992, Reilly attended JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, California where he compiled a 5-2 record and a 2.28 ERA as a senior. Reilly was a second-team All-Trinity League selection. Reed is the son of Tom and Nadine Reilly.
