Bucks Aim For Record Start Today In Corpus

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League look to improve to 6-0 to start the season this afternoon when they play in Corpus Christi at 3:05pm.

Laredo (5-0-0, 10pts, 1st in Southeast Div.) at Corpus Christi (1-2-1, 3pts, 4th in Southeast Div.), 3:05pm, American Bank Center

With a win today the Bucks will set set the franchise mark for the best start to a season at 6-0. In 2003-04 the Bucks also started the season 5-0 before losing in Corpus Christi in the sixth game of the season.

After last nights 9-3 win against Amarillo the Bucks are now outscoring their opponents 35-9. With his four goals and two assists last night Jeff Bes moves to the top of the CHL in scoring with 13 points, with James Hiebert in third with 11 points. Hiebert leads the CHL in goals scored.

Dustin Traylen is scheduled to start in net for Laredo, he comes into todays game at 3-0, with a 1.97 goals against average, and a .928 save percentage.

The Rayz are led in scoring by forward Joe Blaznek. Blaznek has one goal, four assists for five points.
