
Buccaneers Fall To Ice, 6-3

DES MOINES - The Buccaneers were able to capitalize on three powerplay opportunities - but despite goals from Ryan Walters, Jack Berger and Mike Fink, the Bucs fell to the Ice 6-3 tonight at Buccaneer Arena.
Indiana would score the lone goal of the first period. Ryan Walters scored on a powerplay at 1:38 in the second period - tying the game 1-1. The Ice came back with two goals before the end of the period, heading into the second intermission with a lead.
Indiana scored two more girls early in the third period, taking the score to 5-1 before the Buccaneers were able to put anything together on the ice. Jack Berger scored a powerplay goal at 13:26, followed just 11 seconds later by a powerplay goal from Mike Fink. Those two goals brought the game within reach for the Bucs but with a late powerplay goal from Indiana - the Ice were able to seal the deal and defeat the Buccaneers 6-3.
The Buccaneers had 32 shots on goal and went 3 for 6 on the powerplay. Eric Mihalik recorded the loss for the Bucs - stopping 30 of 36 shots on net tonight.
