
Bryzgalov blanks Barons

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Jason Krog recorded a goal and an assist and Ilja Bryzgalov stopped all 27 shots he faced as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks blanked the Cleveland Barons, 3-0, Saturday at the Cincinnati Gardens.
Brendan Yarema and Chris O'Sullivan also scored for the Ducks, who snapped a three-game winless streak (0-2-1-0) and evened their record at 4-4-2-1. Travis Brigley chipped in with a pair of assists.
Bryzgalov, a second-round pick by Anaheim in 2000, made 10 saves in the first period, 14 in the second and eight in the third , en route to his first shutout of the season and fifth of his career.
Seamus Kotyk turned aside 29 shots in the loss for the Barons, who have dropped four in a row and fell to 3-8-1-0 on the season.
The Ducks and Barons complete a home-and-home series Sunday at 4:05 p.m. at Gund Arena.
