
Bruton Earns Invite to Flames Development Camp

Chris Bruton, captain of the 2008 Memorial Cup Champion Spokane Chiefs, has earned an invitation to the Calgary Flames development camp from July 21st through July 26th. Bruton is one of 30 prospects (four goalies, eight defensemen, 18 forwards) to participate, including Chiefs center Mitch Wahl, the Flames second round selection in last month's NHL Draft.
As a 20-year-old, Bruton scored a career high 26 goals and 63 points this year, both third on the Chiefs, and finished his four year WHL career with 258 games, 14th all-time in franchise history. His +33 in 2007-08 was tied for fifth in the WHL.
Calgary selected Wahl 48th overall in the Entry Draft after he led the Chiefs with 53 assists and finished second on the club with 73 points.
