Hershey Bears News Release

HERSHEY – The HERSHEY BEARS announced today that right wing Steve Brule has signed an American Hockey League contract for the 2003-04 season. Per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed

One of the most durable players in the AHL since 1997-98, Brule suffered the first major injury of his professional career last year when he fractured his leg early in November. In the second half of the season, Brule had more game winning goals than any other BEARS player, finishing the season with 18 goals and 37 points in 48 games. Brule also was HERSHEY'S leading goal scorer in the post-season, scoring four goals in five games in the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

"We're excited about having Steve back with us for 2003-04," said BEARS President/General Manager Doug Yingst. "Our fans had a chance to see what he can do offensively for us in the second half last year, and he should prove to be a big part of our offense this season.
