
Bruins ready for busy weekend

The Providence Bruins return to action on Friday, November 19 at 7:05 p.m. when they host the Springfield Falcons at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence. The game will be the third of 10 this season between the teams. The clubs split the first two games, both played at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. Springfield took a 4-3 decision on opening night, October 15, before the Bruins rebounded with a 4-0 victory two nights later. Goaltender Hannu Toivonen stopped all 24 shots he faced in the contest for his third career shutout.
The Bruins also host the Philadelphia Phantoms on Sunday, November 21 at 4:05 p.m.
Bruins wives and girlfriends will kick off the team's annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for this weekend's games. Non-perishable food items will be collected in the Dunkin' Donuts Center box office lobby, and donated to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Food will be collected on Friday from 5:45 p.m. â 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday from 2:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
