
Bruins Finish First Half with Win in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, WI - The Bruins used a three goal first period and never looked back as they defeated the Coulee Region Chill, 4-2 on Saturday night at Green Island Ice Arena.
Dawson DiPietro scored just 57 seconds into the game to make it 1-0 Austin and then Zach Kennedy made it 2-0 before the game was four minutes old. Jade Miller got a powerplay goal at 17:41 to build the lead to 3-0.
At 1:14 of the 2nd, Alex Falconer got Coulee on the board but Michael Piehler answered with a powerplay goal, his 4th in 4 games. The Bruins led 4-1 after two.
In the 3rd, Steven Quagliata scored a powerplay goal for Coulee, breaking a streak of 20 consecutive successful penalty kills for the Bruins, and it was 4-2 with 13:33 remaining. The Chill hit multiple goal posts in their final push, but Robbie Goor held strong, making 32 saves for his third NAHL win.
The Bruins next game will also be against the Chill - on New Year's Eve at Riverside Arena - a 7:05 puck drop.
