Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins played the third of six consecutive road games on Saturday night in Manchester, falling to the Monarchs, 5-3. The Bruins are in third place in the Atlantic Division with their 18-11-2-5 record (41 points). The Bruins had been on a 9-0-0-3 streak, taking 21 of the last possible 24 points. The loss was the Bruins' first in regulation since a 2-0 loss in Manchester on December 4. Bruin left wing Dan LaCouture notched the team's second hat trick in the last three games, and third of the season, scoring his fourth, fifth and six goals of the season. Center Brad Boyes had two assists.

Bruin goaltender Cody Rudkowsky, making his fifth start of the season, stopped 27 shots, and is 2-2-1 this season.
