Bruins drop tough one in Lowell

The Providence Bruins and Lowell Lock Monsters played the seventh game of their 10-game season series on Friday night at Tsongas Arena, with Lowell taking a 3-2 decision. The loss was the Bruins' first in regulation to the Lock Monsters since April 7, 2002, a stretch of 26 games. The Bruins remain tied with the Worcester IceCats for fourth place in the Atlantic Division with their 30-22-3-6 record (69 points).

David Gove (12) and defenseman Milan Jurcina (6) scored the Bruins' goals, in the first and second periods, respectively.

Goaltender Chris Madden made 41 saves and is 3-1-0 on the season.

The Bruins visit the Manchester Monarchs on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m.

The Bruins return home to host the Portland Pirates on Friday, March 11 at 7:05 p.m., and the Albany River Rats on Sunday, March 13 at 4:05 p.m.
