
Brown, Quick Named to U.S. Men's Hockey Roster

LOS ANGELES, CA - Former Manchester Monarchs and current Los Angeles Kings captain/forward Dustin Brown and goaltender Jonathan Quick are a part of the 2014 U.S. Olympic Men's Hockey Roster which was unveiled today by USA Hockey, in cooperation with the United States Olympic Committee and National Hockey League, following today's 2014 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The final roster for the team was revealed for the first time in-venue at Michigan Stadium and live on NBC Sports. Both Brown (who served as an alternate captain) and Quick were on the silver-medal winning 2010 U.S. Olympic Hockey team.
The men's team, comprised of three goaltenders and 22 forwards/defensemen, featured area youth hockey players posing as the Olympians.

Brown:
International Play: Played for Team USA at the following tournaments: Olympics (2010, 6 GP, 0-00, alternate captain, silver medal)...World Championships (2009, 9 GP, 3-58, team captain), (2008, 7 GP, 5-49), (2006, 7 GP, 5-27), (2004: 9 GP, 1-34, bronze medal)...World Junior Championships (2003, 7 GP, 2-24), (2002, 7 GP, 1-34).
Quick:
International Play: Played for Team USA at the following tournament: Olympics (2010, DNP in any games, silver medal).
Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi is a member of the U.S. Men's National Team Advisory Group that helps select the staff and players for various international tournaments, including the 2014 and the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Brown recorded 74 points (29-4574) and 96 penalty minutes in 79 games with the Monarchs during the 2004-05 season. Quick collected a record of 17-13-2 with a 2.48 goals-against-average, a .921 save percentage, and three shutouts in 33 games with the Monarchs from 2007-09.
The Monarchs hit the road as they travel to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena to face-off against the Binghamton Senators at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, January 3.
