New Jersey Cardinals News Release
The New Jersey Cardinals announced that RHP Justin Brown has been promoted to the Peoria Chiefs, the organizations Single A affiliate in the Midwest League. Brown made two appearances with the Cardinals before being called up, going 0-1 with a 3.24 ERA in 8.1 innings pitched. In a related move, the Cardinals add LHP Jackson Paz to their roster. Paz went 6-0 with a 5.32 ERA out of the bullpen in Peoria before being reassigned to New Jersey.
The Cardinals begin a two-game series at Williamsport (Pittsburgh Pirates) today and then travel to Brooklyn (New York Mets) on Thursday. The club is back in action at Skylands Park on Friday night at 7:15 pm when they take on the Cyclones. Following the game, Condit Toyota and The Daily Record sponsor a major fireworks extravaganza.
