Owlz third baseman Jay Brossman earned Offensive Player of the Week honors in the Pioneer League for games played through the week ending August 5.
The former Utah Ute star had an .846 slugging percentage and hit .462, scored six times, smacked a double and three homers while chasing home seven Owlz during the week.

The Pullman, Washington native began the week by going 3-for-4 with two homers and three RBIs against Casper. Six days later he was up to his old tricks, hitting a single, double and two-run blast at Casper to helping the Owls to a 6-2 victory.
The 6'2" 210 pound Brossman was selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 36th round of 2007 free agent draft out of the University of Utah. He was named to All-Mountain West Conference teams in 2004, 2005, 2006.
The Owlz begin a seven game home stand against the Helena Brewers and Missoula Osprey Thursday night August 9th at the Home of the Owlz. Tickets are now on sale, with information available at www.oremowlz.com and at 801-377-BALL (2255).
