Casper Ghosts News Release
CASPER, Wyoming - On August 16th, the Rockies will hold their first ever "Hairiest Back in the Ballpark" night when the team hosts the Billings Mustangs to start a six-game home stand.
Is your back so hairy, Bigfoot took a picture of you?
Then come out to Mike Lansing Field and sign up to compete for "Casper's hairiest back."
Have you ever been confused with Chewbacca from the Star Wars movies?
Then the Rockies have a deal for you.
Have you always wanted to have the hair on your back removed?
You're in luck...
During the August 16th game, volunteers will be asked to shed their shirts in an attempt to find the person with the "hairiest back" in Casper. The crowd will then be asked to pick their favorite "back mane" by applause. The winner will receive free hair removal treatments courtesy of Skin Care by Vondi.
"In the history of minor league baseball, this has to be the most generous promotion ever," said Rockies Director of Fun Matt Warneke. "Not only are we giving our in park fans a great show, we are also giving one lucky contestant a new lease on life."
Winning contestant will be able to choose from two state of the art hair removal procedures. Pulsed Light Hair Removal and Laser Hair Removal.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), as most commonly employed by non-specialist medical practitioners and beauticians, is a method of hair removal from the body involving the use of a specially constructed xenon flash lamp and focusing optics.
Epilation performed by laser was performed experimentally for about 20 years before it became commercially available in the mid 1990s. Laser and light-based methods are sometimes called phototricholysis or photoepilation.
The rest of the six-game home stand is packed with enough fun to make every fans hair stand on end.
Thursday, Aug. 16th is also Thirsty Thursday at Mike Lansing field presented by the Movie Star Lounge
The rest of the home stand looks like this:
Fri., Aug. 17 - Another Lantis Fireworks display following the game
