Broadcast Schedule Changes

(Southaven, MS) -- The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League (CHL) and Flinn Broadcasting of Memphis have announced that three upcoming road games for the RiverKings will be heard live on 96.1 FM, WIVG Radio.

The games to be aired on WIVG will be the Saturday night contest at Texas on October 18th, the contest at Oklahoma City on Friday, October 24th, and the Saturday, October 25th matchup with the Mudbugs at Bossier-Shreveport.

Pre-game coverage for the Texas and Bossier-Shreveport games will be at 6:50 PM, while coverage of the Oklahoma City contest will start at 6:55 PM, with RiverKings Media Coordinator Bob Bakken providing the play-by-play for all home and away contests.

The WIVG broadcast on October 24th was originally announced as being on 96.1 when the radio schedule was first released. The games on Saturday, October 18th and the following Saturday, October 25th, are revisions to the schedule, due to other programming requirements of the RiverKings' main flagship station, Sports 56, WHBQ-AM.

The RiverKings' regular-season opening encounter against the Wichita Thunder on Friday, October 17th, presented by Cellular South, and the Tuesday, October 21st home meeting between Mississippi and Bossier-Shreveport, will be aired on Sports 56, WHBQ, with pre-game coverage starting at 6:50 PM.

The weekly RiverKings Roundup program, featuring Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kaminski and RiverKings' players, airs live from Lonnie Tant's Italia Pizza Cafe on Goodman Road East in Southaven on Monday nights from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, also on Sports 56, WHBQ-AM.
