Bristol State Liners News Release
With the opening of the 2015 professional baseball season in the Appalachian League only a week away, the Bristol Pirates have announced a new feature at the ballpark which is sure to be a hit with kids.
The team will introduce a new kids' area located to the left of the main concourse at Boyce Cox Field, which will contain an inflatable speed pitch area in addition to an inflatable hitting tee.
Younger fans can enjoy both inflatables throughout a home game this year for only $5 per game.
"Bristol Baseball, Inc., the operator of the Bristol Pirates, is excited to be able to offer this new attraction to our younger fans," Pirates General Manager Mahlon Luttrell noted. "We think this will be very popular with the kids at the ballpark all summer long, and are expecting that area near the hill at the ballpark to be busy."
The Bristol Pirates are the Advanced Rookie affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. They begin their 2015 season at home on Tuesday, June 23, at 7:00 PM.
