Double Thunder:The Tulsa Oilers have a chance to gain ground on the Northwest Division leading Wichita Thunder this week, playing the first-place Thunder twice. The Oilers host Wichita on Friday night at 7:35 p.m. The two teams then meet Saturday night in Wichita, at 7:05 p.m. Saturday's game will be broadcast on KMMY FM 97.1
Health Night: Friday night, the Oilers are saluting the area healthcare workers. Healthcare workers who purchase their tickets in advance through the Oilers office receive a $4 discount on each ticket they purchase.
Tough Week: The Oilers dropped all three games they played last week. On Wednesday, the Oilers suffered their third shutout of the season in a 2-0 loss at Wichita. Friday saw Oklahoma City win the first game of this year's Ford Turnpike series, 4-1, and on Sunday afternoon Colorado scored three goals in a 25 second span en route to a 5-4 win.
Staying Hot: Jaroslav Cesky scored three of the Oilers five goals last week. In the last six games, Cesky has scored five goals and four assists for nine points.
On The Sheet: Joe Guenther scored his first goal as an Oiler on Sunday. It came on his wife's birthday.
