Welcome Mr. Gagnon:
The Hounds signed forward Jonathan Gagnon prior to Tuesday's win in Bossier-Shreveport. In three games since joining the Hounds, Gagnon has scored a goal and added two assists notching points in each of the games thus far. The 6-1, 198-pound veteran has played in over 300 professional games including 144 with the Memphis Riverkings where he won a championship and scored 82 goals with 67 assists during his three seasons.

Home Sour Home:
The SteelHounds are taking some time to get used to home ice making it not so sweet after all. Youngstown has dropped a league-high four straight games in the Chevrolet Centre and five of their last six. Overall, the Hounds are 3-5 at home averaging 2.5 goals per game. The power play has struggled in the friendly confines clicking just six times in 65 chances (9.2%, 14th in the CHL).

Richards Keeps Setting Them Up:
Chris Richards has remained hot throughout most of the season currently ranking second in the CHL with 19 assists (just one behind Wichita's Jason Duda). Last week, Richards scored two goals and added three assists and helped pace the Hounds to a 7-6 victory over Bossier-Shreveport on Tuesday night with three points (2-1=3). On the season, Richards ranks sixth in the CHL with 24 points (5-19=24).

Krazy George Invades The Mahoning Valley This Weekend:
The SteelHounds will welcome Krazy George and his drum on Friday and Saturday nights when they host the Lubbock Cotton Kings. Krazy George will be forever known as the "man who made the whole world stand up and cheer" as he got the first wave started in Oakland during a MLB playoff game on October 15, 1981. His notoriety grew as he cheered for the San Francisco Bay area team in the 70's and 80's and was first hired to be a "Professional Cheerleader" by Lamar Hunt, owner of the Kansas City Chiefs.

One Timers:
- Jeff Christian ranks second in the CHL with 27 points (Blaznek, WIC - 29) and 17 goals (Sheppard, BOS - 18).
- Due to injuries, the SteelHounds were forced to play the second half of the game on Friday night versus Corpus Christi with one line of all defensemen. Sam Miller played center, Marc-Andre Roy played left wing and Kevin Harris played right wing.
- Scott Barnes had two goals with two assists last week
- The SteelHounds are 0-5 versus the Southeast Division
