Brian Elliott Assigned on Conditioning

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that the club has assigned goaltender Brian Elliott to the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League for conditioning.

Elliott will start for the Rivermen on Friday against Oklahoma City and Saturday against Lake Erie before returning to the Blues following Saturday's game.

Elliott, 27, has appeared in 11 games for the Blues this season posting a 3-6-1 record including a 3.65 goals against average and a .851 save percentage. Overall, the 6'2, 209-pound goaltender has appeared in six National Hockey League (NHL) seasons, including the last two with the Blues, posting a 87-69-21 record including a 2.65 goals against average and a .907 save percentage in 191 career games.

A former ninth round pick by Ottawa (#291 overall) in 2003, Elliott has 82 games of AHL experience over his career. He is 39-32-2 lifetime with a 2.75 goals-against average and 0.916 save percentage all with the Binghamton Senators.
