Helena Brewers News Release
The Helena Brewers (9-14) were shut out for the fifth time this year on Thursday, falling to the Great Falls Voyagers (9-14) on Thursday 2-0.
Josh Uhen (1-4) was solid in the start, but could not get any offensive support to pick up a win. Uhen pitched six innings, giving up two runs on five hits.
J.B. Kole would then pitch two perfect innings of relief. The two right-handers would combine to not allow a hit after the fourth inning.
Hunter Jones led off the game with a single, stole second and came in on a two-out single from Dillon Haupt. Haupt was 1-for-1 with two walks.
The Voyagers' second run came in the fourth on an RBI grounder from Louie Lechich to score Mason Robbins.
Alex Powers picked up his second save of the year, tossing two perfect innings to close the game.
Helena batters struck out 15 times in the game, tying a season high.
The Brewers and the Voyagers will now play a two-game series back at Kindrick Field. First pitch on Friday from Helena is set for 7:05 p.m.
