
Breakers and Mayor Marty Walsh to Host Women's World Cup Viewing Party Tuesday

HANOVER, Mass. (June 29, 2015) - Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and the Boston Breakers will host a Women's World Cup viewing party for the U.S. Women's National Team's semifinal-round game Tuesday against Germany.
The viewing party will take place Tuesday, June 30, at 7 p.m. ET at City Hall Plaza, which is located at One City Hall Square in Boston. The event is free and open to the public.
"It has been so exciting, watching the USA Women's Soccer Team come this far," said Mayor Walsh. "We look forward partnering with the Boston Breakers, once again, to host another Viewing Party, and welcome all Boston residents and visitors to enjoy the game on City Hall Plaza."
This is the third viewing party at City Hall Plaza during this World Cup. In total, more than 1,500 fans, including members of the Boston Breakers, came out to City Hall Plaza to watch the U.S. beat China, 1-0, in the quarterfinals and Colombia, 2-0, in the Round of 16.
The U.S. features Boston Breakers goalkeeper and 2014 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year Alyssa Naeher.
The Boston Breakers are one of nine teams in the National Women's Soccer League and play their home games at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium on the campus of Harvard University. To purchase tickets, call 617-945-1704 or visit www.breakerstickets.com.
