
NWSL Disciplinary Committee Suspends Portland Thorns FC Midfielder McCall Zerboni

CHICAGO (June 29, 2015) - The NWSL Disciplinary Committee announced today that Portland Thorns FC midfielder McCall Zerboni has been issued an additional one-game suspension for unsporting conduct detrimental to the League and for deliberate attempt to injure another player. Zerboni was sent off for the incident involving FC Kansas City forward Shea Groom in the second half (69') of the match on Friday, June 19 at Providence Park in Portland, Ore. (Watch Here)
Zerboni will sit out the Thorns FC's next two matches in which she is available to play. The Portland Thorns FC host Sky Blue FC on Friday, July 3 at 10 p.m. ET and then visit Sky Blue FC on Saturday, July 11 at 7 p.m. ET.
