
Bravo Plays All Nine Positions to Lead Dillas Past WhiteWings, 12-8

Amarillo, TX - Danny Bravo played all nine positions and hit a two-run home run for the Amarillo Dillas (47-34) in a 12-8 win over the Harlingen WhiteWings (20-59) tonight at Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa.
Bravo started the game at shortstop, moved to second base in the second, third base in the third, first base in the fourth, leftfield in the fifth, centerfield in the sixth, catcher in the seventh, right field in the eighth and pitcher in the ninth.
The home run was a two-run shot in the fifth to knock out Todd Lutz (2-9), his 17th of the season, which made it 8-3 Dillas the time.
The Dillas struck against Lutz right away. Jonathan Reynoso led off with a double, moved to third on a ground out and scored on a sacrifice fly by Andrew Wong. Bravo followed with a single and scored on A.J. Johnson's 18th home run of the season, making it 3-0.
The WhiteWings got two back in the third against Micah Posey (11-2). Joel Gonzalez got hit by a pitch to lead off the inning. Kevin Griffin followed with a walk and Matt Lawman reached on a bunt single. One out later, Amadeo Zazueta hit a two-run single to make it 3-2.
In the bottom of the inning, though, Reynoso led off with a double, Keith Brachold hit an RBI-triple and Wong followed with his third home run to make it 6-3.
The WhiteWings got one back in the fourth. Greg Sillivent hit a one-out single and moved to second on a wild pitch. Two batters later, Lawman hit an RBI-double to make it 6-3.
After Bravo's home run in the fifth, Angel Cordero came in and got the second out on one pitch. He then hit Gary Schneidmiller, walked Sam McLain, hit Brian Bueno and walked Josh Ashton to force in a run, making it 9-3.
The WhiteWings rallied back in the sixth. Carl Johnson led off with a triple and Sillivent followed with an RBI-single. One out later, Griffin doubled. One out after that, David Fowler hit a two-run triple to knock out Posey. Robert Wooley came in and gave up an RBI-double to Zazueta to make it 9-7.
The Dillas answered in the bottom of the inning, though. Barchold led of with a walk. One out later Bravo hit an RBI-double. Justin Staatz came in and gave up Johnson's second two-run home run of the game to make it 12-7.
Bravo came onto pitch the ninth. Fowler led off with a single. Zazueta popped out, but Fowler moved to second. David Cardona followed with an RBI-single to make it 12-8.
The WhiteWings and Dillas complete this three-game series tomorrow night at 6:05. Left-hander Bryan Herrera (0-4) will face left-hander Ronald Lowe (6-1).
