First Baseman Eric Crozier and right fielder Mark Little both extended their hitting streaks Friday afternoon, as the Bisons fell to the Richmond Braves (Atlanta Braves) 5-4, from Winter Haven, FL. The Herd is now 8-3-1 on the spring.
Crozier and Little each went 1-4 on the day, lengthening their hit streaks to 11 and ten games respectively. Grady Sizemore (CF) also went 1-4 today, with a triple and 3 RBI. Second baseman Zach Sorensen chipped in a pair of hits.
Newly acquired pitcher Jeriome Robertson started and gave up 3 runs in 4.0 innings of work. The loss was tagged to Joe Winkelsas, who gave up 2 runs in 1.0 inning pitched.
The Bisons will take on the Toledo Mud Hens (Detroit Tigers) Saturday at 1:00 p.m. from Lakeland, FL. The team will then travel to Kinston, North Carolina to take on the Single-A Kinston Indians on Sunday.
