
Braves Search for On-Field Host

Richmond, VA - The Richmond Braves, Sports Radio 910 and Q94 will hold a tryout for the "Master of Ceremonies" position for the upcoming 2007 season. The tryout will be held on March 31 at The Shops on Willow Lawn, located near the entrance to Old Navy, just off of West Broad Street. The Braves will begin auditions at approximately 11:00 a.m.
Participants, who must be 18 years of age and able to work all home games, will be judged on voice quality, enthusiasm and their ability to ad-lib to a rapidly changing environment. The Master of Ceremonies position will represent the team in a professional manner and will promote upcoming games and events.
Contestants will be asked to host simulated game contests. Judges from the radio stations and the team will select a few participants who will be invited to Opening Day. The chosen finalists will host promotions and events between innings on Opening Day, where the crowd will help select the 2007 Master of Ceremonies. The crowd favorite will be ultimately be hired and compensated hourly. The Braves encourage all to try-out. Those interested in trying out, should pre-register on www.sportsradio910.com.
