Rome, GA -After being no hit last night, the Rome Braves came back in a big way with a 6-3 victory over the Augusta GreenJackets in front of 3,384 fans at State Mutual Stadium Friday night.

The Braves got on the board in the first inning as Jordan Schafer singled to bring Eric Campbell across the plate and the Braves were up 1-0. The GreenJackets would come back in the second inning with three runs of their own to take a 3-1 lead. The inning was highlighted by a RBI singles from Pablo Sandoval and Ben Copeland.

Rome would come back to take the lead in their part of the second. Elvis Andrus had a two RBI single and Eric Campbell along with Jordan Schafer each had run scoring hits to give Rome the lead for good. The Braves would finish out the scoring putting another run on the board in the bottom of third to make the final score 6-3.

Rome starter Jeff Lyman (6-3) got the win for Rome and Kelvin Pichardo (1-2) took the loss for the Augusta. Kevin Gunderson picked up his first save of the season.
