Richmond, VA - The Louisville Bats beat the Richmond Braves 3-2 in 11 innings Tuesday at The Diamond. The Bats scored on a wild pitch in the 11th to send the Braves down to their fifth straight loss.

Louisville scored in the top of the first on a wild pitch following a Norris Hopper triple to take a 1-0 lead. The Braves moved in front in the fourth on a two run homer by Scott Thorman, his 15th of the year. The Bats tied the game in the sixth on a throwing error on a bunt by William Bergolla. In the 11th, Earl Snyder doubled, was sacrificed to third, and scored the winning run on a wild pitch.

Scott Chiasson picked up the win. Mike Venafroe earned a save. Will Startup took the loss. Hopper had three hits for the Bats. Four Bats pitchers held the Braves to four hits, none after the fourth inning.

The Braves and Bats meet again Wednesday at 7 PM. Kevin Barry will pitch for the Braves against Tom Shearn.
