
Bratt and Webb Toss One-Hitter

The wins keep on piling here at Grainger Stadium from, yet again, another strong pitching performance. Mitch Bratt threw five no-hit innings. He also had seven strikeouts. Bradford Webb came into the game dealing as well but unfortunately, the no-hitter was broken up in the top of seventh for the only hit of the game for the Mudcats. The first run of the ballgame came in the bottom of the third when Alejandro Osuna hit an RBI single scoring Junior Paniagua. Later that inning Efrenyer Narvaez, who went 3-4 on the night, hit an RBI single which brought in Osuna.
Narvaez got his second RBI in the bottom of the fifth to give the Collard Greens a three to zero lead. Abimelec Ortiz had himself a game going 3- 4 with two RBI's. Runs coming from a 417-foot NUKE over right field in the bottom of the sixth and an RBI single in the bottom of the eight, scoring Yosy Galan. Kinston goes onto win five runs to zero and win their fifth straight game against the Carolina Mudcats.
The Collard Greens (35-33) and Carolina Mudcats (34-34) continue their series tomorrow, on Sunday, June 26th, with the Greens leading the series (5-0), as the first pitch is set for 1:00 p.m.
