Brahmas Take Decisive 5-1 Victory over Odessa

The Lone Star Brahmas defeated the visiting Odessa Jackalopes Friday evening in a 5-1 landslide at the NYTEX Sports Centre.

Following a competitive and scoreless first period, Lone Star found themselves on the scoreboard with back-to-back goals by Brahmas' Alexey Solovyev and Eric Carreras in the middle frame.

The third was plagued with penalties and aggressiveness, but the purple and black took the challenge and scored an additional three goals in the third for a 5-1 win. Goals were scored by Oskar Andren, A.J. Vanderbeck and Anton Santesson.

T.J. Black earned the 'W' in net as the Brahmas went on to stretch their home winning streak to 14 games.
