NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 6)- There is nothing like revenge in hockey, especially when it comes in the form of a 5-3 win at your opponent's barn. Texas bounced back from a loss against the 'Hounds yesterday morning to defeat them tonight in a high-scoring affair.

The night began early for the Brahmas as Texas' sharpshooter Scott Sheppard blazed one pass Youngstown's goalie Andy Franck at the 3:42 mark. Captain Blair Manning and Grant Jacobson assisted on the powerplay goal.

The 'Hounds, wanting to put a show on for their home crowd, matched Sheppard's goal in a matter of minutes. They scored again at the end of the first period, putting them up 2-1.

The first intermission must have awaken the Brahmas offense as their leading goal-scorer, Anders Strome tied the game up with a powerplay goal. The goal was Strome's team-leading twenty-third of the season, extending his point streak to 10 games.

That wouldn't be the only powerplay goal for Texas in the second as forward Jordan Cameron wanted in on the action as well. Halfway through the period, Cameron, fed from Strome and Tyler Skworchinski, put the Brahmas up 3-2.

Brahmas' goaltender, Brett Jaeger did his part in the second, allowing only one goal in during a 5 on 3 powerplay opportunity for the 'Hounds. He deflected 15 of 16 shots in the second alone.

Both teams came out in the third looking for an edge. That edge came from Texas' quiet defenseman, Tim Laurila, his first of the season. Mark Carragher assisted on what would be the game-winner.

Texas put the game away in the winding seconds as Cameron scored an empty netter, his second of the night. Texas was outshot by Youngstown 38-27, but did bury five past 'Hounds netminder Andy Franck.

The Brahmas will travel to Bossier-Shreveport, continuing their three game road trip for a 7:05 PM start Saturday, February 9. They will return home to the NYTEX Sports Centre for a matinee game against the Mudbugs at 3:05 PM.
