Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

The Fort Worth Brahmas will be sporting a different look on Friday night, February 17 when they take the ice against the Youngstown Steelhounds at 7:30 p.m. at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

For Friday night's game only, the Brahmas will be wearing commemorative XTO Energy jerseys. XTO Energy, which has its corporate headquarters in downtown Fort Worth, is one of the largest energy production companies in the U.S. Over 700 XTO Energy executives and employees will be on hand at the Fort Worth Convention Center to see the Brahmas and the Steelhounds meet for the fourth time this season.

The Brahmas game-worn XTO jerseys, which feature the XTO logo along with a white, yellow, and black color scheme, will be auctioned off to the general public. Five Brahmas players-forwards Derek Seal, Matt Reynolds, Cory Stillman, Ben Gustavson, and Wes Mason-will have their jerseys auctioned off in a live auction immediately following the game in Fort Worth Convention Center meeting rooms 121A and B on the Commerce Street side of the building. All of the remaining game-worn and game-issued XTO jerseys will be auctioned off online (at www.brahmas.com) beginning Wednesday, February 22 at 12:00 noon and ending Wednesday, March 1 at 12:00 noon. A portion of the proceeds from the XTO jersey auction will go to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Friday night's game against the Steelhounds will be the first of three for the Brahmas in a four-day stretch. On Saturday, Feb. 18, the Brahmas will travel to Odessa to meet the Jackalopes for the second time this season at 7:00 p.m. Then, after taking Sunday off, Fort Worth will host the Steelhounds again at the FWCC on Monday night, February 20. Monday night's game will have a special start time of 6:00 p.m. because of the President's Day holiday.

BRAHMAS ROSTER MOVES:

Guy Larose, Fort Worth's Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, will be a busy man over the next 24 hours. Two Brahmas players, defenseman Vladimir Hartinger and winger David Silverstone, are expected to be moved from the injured reserve list to the Brahmas active lineup. Also, left wing Chris Bain, whom the Brahmas acquired earlier this week in a trade with the Wichita Thunder, is expected to be signed to a contract and be officially added to the Fort Worth roster. To make room for Hartinger, Silverstone, and Bain on his lineup card, Larose placed rookie forward Mike O'Sullivan on waivers on Thursday night.
